Safeguarding Children Workshop: Professional Curiosity in Patient Safety and Safeguarding

This workshop will be delivered by Elizabeth Akers, Head of Education for Patient Safety and Charlotte Barran, Lead Practice Educator for Safeguarding. The workshop will explore the overlapping themes that occur in safeguarding and patient safety situations, where risk and uncertainty prevail. Presenters will introduce common safeguarding and patient safety concepts and theoretical models which can help health professionals to understand and respond to risk.  Using the Patient Safety Incident Response Framework and specifically the After Action Review we will introduce tools to help staff reflect on what went well and what can be done differently in safeguarding situations.

This workshop is delivered online, via Microsoft Teams.
