What is goshlearningacademy.co.uk and what is GOLD?
goshlearningacademy.co.uk is the name of our learning portal which allows users to browse our course catalogue and purchase our courses, events, and expert talks. GOLD stands for “GOSH Online Learning & Development” and is the Learning Management System (LMS) where all course content is hosted and accessed from.
These two platforms are connected so purchasing a course on our learning portal enrols you into your course on GOLD. Similarly, creating an account on our learning portal creates you an account on GOLD.

How do I access GOSH GOLD?
GOSH Staff: Use Single Sign On (SSO) to log into GOSH GOLD (GOLD login page) as all GOSH staff have a GOLD account already that is set-up when they first join the Trust.
Non-GOSH users: You need to have first registered through our learning portal (www.goshlearningacademy.co.uk). Once you have purchased a course/event and have been enrolled, you can log in to GOLD (GOLD login page) by choosing the “Non-GOSH users login” button and entering the email address and password that you registered with.
I am a member of GOSH staff and am unable to log in via Single Sign On (SSO)
For GOSH staff only: When using Single Sign On (SSO) you are authenticating your GOSH account. After you click on GOSH staff (Single Sign On) on the GOLD log in page you might be asked to pick the correct SSO account. Chose the GOSH one, especially if you have more than one. In some cases, you might be asked to authenticate via your mobile Authenticator app or a phone call. Please follow the instructions on screen. If you have issues with SSO authentication, please contact the GOSH ICT team.
I am NOT a member of GOSH staff and I am unable to log in
For Non-GOSH users only: Make sure you are not trying to log in via Single Sign On (SSO) but using the “Non-GOSH users login” button with your registered email address and password. Please double check for any typos in your email address and password. Please also check you are using the correct email address that you registered with. If you have forgotten your password, please follow the forgotten password instructions below. If you are still unable to log in, contact us, stating your full name and the issue, as well as anything else that will help us to retrieve your account e.g. the name of the course/s you are enrolled in.
I have not received a confirmation email of my course/event purchase
Please check your junk/spam folder in the first instance. Our emails can also sometimes be blocked by spam filters, so please add us to your safe sender’s list. If you have registered using a work email address and you think you might not be receiving emails from us, please contact your IT department to allow emails from us to come through to your inbox.
Sometimes, email addresses may not be entered correctly when registering which can also result in our emails not coming through to your inbox. If you think this might be the case, please don’t reset your password to try and activate your account as emails will be sent to the incorrectly entered email account and you won’t receive them. Instead, please contact us, stating your full name, email address you purchased the course with, and outline the issue.
I am trying to join a virtual session but the page isn’t loading properly
You can refresh the page or restart your computer. If this does not work, contact the course instructor (email address should be listed on the course page on GOLD), mark your email as urgent and state your full name and the issue. If you do not hear back from the course instructor, please contact us and provide all the relevant details.
I have forgotten my password
You need to reset your password on our Learning Management System (LMS) GOLD. Click the following link and follow the prompts to reset your password. Please note: It can take up to 30 minutes for an email with your password reset link to appear in your inbox.
If you don’t receive an email with your password reset link, you may have mistyped your email address. Please try entering your email address again if you think this might be the case. The password reset email may also have gone to your spam/junk folder. If this still doesn’t work, please contact us.
If you are a GOSH member of staff, you should use Single Sign On (SSO) to access GOLD and so you shouldn’t need to reset your password. Please try logging in with SSO and see if this works before contacting us.
How do I change my password?
You will need to change your password on our Learning Management System (LMS) GOLD. To do this, you can either follow the reset your password link above or, you can easily change your password when logged in to your account by following the steps below:
- Log in to GOLD
- Click your name/username (found on the right-hand side under the GOSH logo In the aqua green menu bar)
- Click ‘Profile’
- In the ‘Administration’ section on the right, click ‘Preferences’
- In the User account section on the left, click ‘Change password
- Fill in the ‘Password change’ form as prompted.
- Click ‘Save changes’.
I have forgotten my username
Your username will be the email address you registered with when creating your account.
If you can’t remember which email address you used, please contact us, stating your full name and the issue, as well as anything else that will help us to retrieve your account e.g. the name of the course/s you are enrolled in.
How do I change my username/registered email address?
You can easily change your username when logged in to your account by following the steps below:
- Log in to GOLD
- Click your name/username found on the right-hand side under the GOSH logo In the teal menu bar)
- Click ‘Profile’
- Under ‘User details’ on the left, click ‘Edit profile’.
- In the ‘Email address’ field, change this from your old email to the new one that you wish to update.
- Scroll to the bottom of the page then click ‘Update Profile.
My personal details are listed incorrectly, how do I edit them?
Contact us, stating your full name and the issue, as well as anything else that will help us to retrieve your account e.g. the name of the course/s you are enrolled in and a member of the team will get back to you. Please note: we are a Monday-Friday service so if you email us on the weekend, we will respond the next working day at the earliest, during busy periods this may be longer.
I am a member of GOSH staff and I am unsure if my computer has the latest software
GOSH staff only: you can check which version of Windows your computer has by clicking on the search icon on the bottom left of your task bar. Search for ‘About your PC’. Trust computers should have Windows 10 or later updated. If yours is not up to date and you are a GOSH staff user, please contact the GOSH ICT service desk to resolve this.
