Safeguarding Children Workshop: Parents with Learning Disability and Safeguarding
Participants will learn how learning disabilities and autism impact on adults, and specifically on parents who are also involved in child protection processes; they will learn how to safeguard vulnerable adults; they will develop their knowledge through GOSH and community cases, and through interactive case discussions; and they will take away resources and communication tools to support parents with a learning disability where safeguarding children concerns have been raised. The views of parents who have experienced safeguarding processes will contribute to the workshop.
