Safeguarding Children Workshop: Children with Disabilities and Safeguarding
In this interactive workshop subject matter experts from the GOSH safeguarding children and learning disability and autism teams will explore how to recognise signs and indicators of potential child abuse among children with disabilities and how to raise a concern; how to communicate with non-verbal children about safeguarding concerns; reasons for the prevalence of abuse among children with disabilities; and the challenges that professionals face in addressing it. There will be case discussions based on real cases.
