ADHD and Executive Functioning

Overview

Join Darren McCabe, a Registered Learning Disability Nurse (RNLD), Non-Medical Prescriber and ADHD Coach, with over 15 years’ experience supporting children, young people, adults, families and professionals across health, education and community settings and the founder of Lily of the Valley. This practical and informative webinar will be exploring what ADHD is, considering the core features of ADHD, including inattention, hyperactivity and impulsivity, alongside recognition, assessment and diagnosis, common misconceptions and appropriate terminology. We will also consider why ADHD may look very different from one person to another and the importance of understanding the impact symptoms have on everyday functioning. we will also explore executive functioning as a way of helping professionals understand how some of the difficulties associated with ADHD may be experienced in everyday life.

Aims of the course
