The demand for sedation in paediatrics is ever growing and the development of Nurse-led sedation services in the UK is essential to meet the demand. This course will provide an overview of the creation of the first UK Nurse-led sedation service (NLSS). Throughout the course candidates will learn the pathways and process from admission to discharge in a NLSS. Candidates will also develop confidence and competent at handling complications and emergencies related to paediatric sedation with the use of clinical simulation sessions.
Day 1: 26th March 2026 Introduction (optional) + release of e-learning package
Day 2: 16th April 2026 Virtual teaching day
Day 3: 30th April 2026 Simulation day (GOSH)
